We named our children after our favourite TV shows – people love how unique they are

A young couple have chosen to name their twin baby daughters after two characters from their favourite television shows, saying that they felt as if the names are a perfect fit. Jade and Callum Miller welcomed their babies last month and decided to honour both of their TV passions when choosing what to call them (Picture: Jade Miller/SWNS)

Jade, 26, said she had long-known that she wanted to name one of her children Lorelai after years of watching her favourite programme, Gilmore Girls. For Callum, 28, the choice came from a completely different series that had left a lasting impression on him. He's a big fan of Mike Flanagan's creepy Netflix show The Haunting of Hill House - specifically the character of Theodora Crain, played by Kate Siegel (Picture: Hallmark)

The girls were born on July 18 and their parents say they are already showing personalities and characteristics to match their names. Jade, who runs her own domestic cleaning business in the Forest of Dean, explained: 'I knew all along twin A was Lorelai and twin B was Theodora.' She added: 'Twin A was giving Lorelai energy - hectic!' (Picture: Jade Miller/SWNS)

She went on: 'Theodora is so dainty and such a little baby. Lorelai has a massive head of hair. Dark hair - it's a perfect match.' The couple have even started using sweet nicknames, calling them Rory and Dory at home. Rory came in at 7lbs 1oz while her sister Dory weighed 5lbs 13oz. Jade is no stranger to drawing inspiration from popular culture when naming her children. Her elder son Jude, now two, was named after both actor Jude Law and footballer Jude Bellingham. She explained: 'I have always loved Jude Law and thought it was such a nice name. Jude Bellingham came on the scene and became big in football and Callum said "I quite like Jude actually".' The pattern continued when it came time to think about names for her second pregnancy (Picture: Jade Miller/SWNS)

Jade admitted she had a strong feeling she was expecting twins from the beginning. 'All my life I've always thought I'm going to have twins. It was an intuition thing,' she said. 'When I fell pregnant I kept making jokes to Callum - "there are two girls in there"' (Picture: Jade Miller/SWNS)

She added: 'At the scan I looked at Callum and he said "how did you know?"' Once the couple had confirmation, conversations about names began early. Jade’s heart had been set on Lorelai since she started watching Gilmore Girls eight years ago and so conversations about the name of 'Twin A' were never going to last very long (Picture: Jade Miller/SWNS)

Jade explains her affection for her favourite show like this: 'I was in a dark place. I was struggling to sleep. I needed a comfort show to fall asleep to. It's always on in my house. Something about the name Lorelai stood out to me.' While Callum had always favoured the glamorous Theodora from The Haunting of Hill House. Jade initially teased him about his choice, the pair eventually agreed they would each get the name they loved.
