Where you can fly with Breeze Airways as JetBlue announces new Vero Beach flights
As Breeze Airways continues to offer an array of destinations at Vero Beach Regional Airport, JetBlue will soon expand the airport's offering with two new routes to Boston, Massachusetts and New York City, New York.
But before you can board flights with either airline, which were both founded by David Neeleman over 20 years apart, the Transportation Security Administration recently announced its newly banned items from checked luggage.

Passengers arrive at Vero Beach Regional Airport on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, from Hartford, Connecticut, on the first Breeze Airways flight to Vero Beach.
Here is where Breeze Airways can take you from Vero Beach Regional Airport (VBR) and Palm Beach International Airport (PBIA) this September, and where JetBlue will soon take travelers starting on Dec. 11.

Which new items has TSA banned from checked luggage?
While hair tools with cords are fine for both checked or carry-on bags, the Federal Aviation Administration said these kinds of cordless hair tools are banned:
- Cordless curling irons or flat irons containing gas cartridges.
- Butane-fueled curling irons or flat irons.
- Gas refills (spare cartridges) for curling irons or flat irons.
If found in your luggage, it will be taken away. However, you still can bring these items in your carry-on with some requirements.
"A safety cover must be securely fitted over the heating element," according to the FAA's website. "The device must be protected from accidental activation."
If you depend on a cordless device for your haircare routine, check out the latest FAA "HazMat" guidelines regarding hair tools that are no longer allowed in checked baggage.
