Miami's Padel X opens upscale, eight-court indoor racquet facility in Boca Raton
Padel X, a Miami-based brand promoting a blend of the sport and its wellness and social aspects, has opened an eight-court indoor facility on Holland Drive — its second U.S. club and the first of its kind in the city.
The opening comes as padel, a mash-up of tennis and squash long popular in Spain and Latin America, gains a foothold in South Florida, where tennis and pickleball already dominate country clubs and public courts.
With Miami and now Boca Raton in play — and a West Palm Beach location expected this winter — Padel X is betting that the region's appetite for racquet sports will extend to the glass-walled courts and social energy that have made padel the fastest-growing racquet sport abroad.
"The growth of padel has been explosive worldwide thanks to its dynamic, social nature. It’s everything Boca stands for," Padel X co-founder and CEO Juan Pablo Leria said. "For us, it's never been about just building courts. It's about crafting a lifestyle, a community and an energy around the sport."

The 28,000-square-foot club is designed to appeal to a wide range of players, from country club regulars to pickleball converts curious about padel. It features eight indoor, climate-controlled courts along with a pro shop, rental services and exclusive membership options.
Programming includes a Padel X Academy with clinics led by top coaches, weekly mixers and American-style social tournaments. To mark its opening month, the club is offering 30% off all court bookings through Sept. 19 and discounted rates on lessons and clinics.
Padel X also a wellness retreat

Padel X has opened an indoor padel court facility in Boca Raton, Fla., on September 9, 2025. The sport is a loose amalgamation of familiar racquet sports; racquetball, tennis and pickle ball.
Beyond the courts, the facility offers a wellness retreat, with a players' lounge, sauna, cold plunge and recovery area. It sits at 1081 Holland Drive, west of Congress Avenue and just south of Clint Moore Road in Boca Raton.
"The Padel X experience is engaging, vibrant and fun," Leria said. "As a brand born in Miami, we're proud to grow across South Florida with unique clubs that feel authentic to each city. Our philosophy is simple: quality over quantity."
Innovation is central to Padel X's approach. In its first year, the Miami flagship recycled more than 26,000 padel balls and plastic bottles, which were transformed into apparel and custom furniture.
Former professional padel player and co-founder Nalle Grinda said Miami's strong reception shows the sport's appeal, and that Boca Raton is next. "Communities with strong tennis traditions, like Boca, embrace padel naturally because it's fast, fun and social," he said. "Once players step on the court, they're instantly hooked."
With $10 million in funding secured to open its first three U.S. clubs — Miami, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach — by the end of 2025, Padel X is expanding its presence across South Florida. The company also plans a 10-court indoor flagship on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach in 2026.
