No injuries after plane crashed into corner of home in western Ky.
GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - Crews responded to a plane that ran off the runway and crashed into the corner of a home on Thursday afternoon, September 18.
According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, the plane ran off the runway at the Mayfield Airport and hit a home on the south side of Kentucky 58 East.

Crews are on the scene after a plane ran off the runway and crashed into the corner of a home.
Graves County Sheriff John Hayden says the preliminary reports indicated that the pilot was unable to stop the aircraft on the runway. The plane then continued through a fence and into the home.
Investigators report that one woman was home when the plane hit the structure, but thankfully, she was not hurt.
The pilot was the only person on the plane at the time of the crash. He had no visible injuries.
For safety reasons, according to the sheriff’s office, KY 58 will be closed at KY 131 on the east side, and then at KY 301 on the west end. Local traffic only will be allowed.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have been notified and will investigate the crash.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the aircraft is a 2013 CESSNA 525C. It’s a fixed-wing, multi-engine plane with 11 seats and two engines.
