Tour de Corgi returns to Fort Collins, unleashing costumes and cuteness

It was paws, not pedals, that stole the spotlight in Old Town Fort Collins on Oct. 4.

Hundreds of corgis — dressed as everything from dinosaurs to rock stars — paraded through the streets for the 11th annual Tour de Corgi, a celebration filled with cuteness, costumes and community spirit dedicated entirely to the breed.

A corgi is seen in costume during the annual Tour de Corgi on Oct. 4, 2025, in Fort Collins, Colo.

The event drew both corgi enthusiasts and curious onlookers who enjoyed petting the dogs — and honestly, who wouldn't want a little joy like that?

Tour de Corgi began in 2014, when local corgi owner Tracy Stewart, inspired by similar events on the West Coast and across the country, decided Fort Collins needed its own version.

What started as a small Facebook gathering quickly grew beyond expectations, prompting Stewart to form a planning committee to manage the event, which has since developed into a full-fledged community.

If you missed this year’s parade, don’t worry — the corgis and their costumes will be back next fall.
