The Jack O'Lantern Spectacular, a popular nighttime stroll through a dark forest with thousands of glowing carved pumpkins, is back at Iroquois Park for a 13th year until Sunday, Nov. 2.

A top Halloween event in the region, the Jack O'Lantern Spectacular 2025 theme is "Jack's Pun-King Trail – A Trailway of Wordplay" and a nod to dad jokes. Guests can expect a glowing path of thousands of hand-carved pumpkins and clever one-liners.

When is Louisville's 2025 Jack O'Lantern Spectacular? 

The 2025 Jack O'Lantern Spectacular is taking place from Thursday, Oct. 2, to Sunday, Nov. 2. The event is open 6:30-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

The trail opens when it is dark enough outside for maximum enjoyment, which typically ranges from 6:50 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. depending on the weather and daylight.

Where is the Jack O'Lantern Spectacular held?

The Jack O'Lantern Spectacular takes place at Iroquois Park each year, located at 1080 Amphitheater Road. 

The entrance to the event is at the intersection of New Cut Road and Kenwood Road. For GPS, use 1801 Amphitheater Road as the destination.

How long does the Jack O'Lantern Spectacular take to complete?

Attendees should be prepared to walk one-third of a mile from the parking lot to the entrance and an additional one-third of a mile on packed gravel through the Jack O'Lantern Spectacular display.

The trail itself takes 35-45 minutes to complete on average.

The Jack O'Lantern Spectacular has returned to Iroquois Park but with an added Covid twist that now allows guests to drive through the seasonal exhibit that features over 5000 artistically-carved pumpkins. 10/7/20
