‘The Bump’ is back: Stretch of Hwy 26 that sends cars airborne has returned, officials say
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — There’s an unfortunate update on that notorious bump along Highway 26 near Seaside that’s previously sent cars airborne and caused several crashes.
A slide near milepost 13 is to blame after underground water pressure pushed the pavement up again, the Oregon Department of Transportation said.

The speed limit is down to 25 miles per hour.
If the weather cooperates and stays dry, crews plan to add another drain to relieve the water pressure.
For now, ODOT says they’re keeping a close eye on it.
