New beer garden coming to RiNo’s Denargo Market
DENVER (KDVR) — A new beer garden will soon open at the Denargo Market space in the River North Arts District of Denver, offering rotating food options alongside drinks and various entertainment options.
The Hopscotch Beer Garden will open in late winter 2026 as part of the new Denargo Market, a space along the South Platte River north of downtown that has been developed into a public area with plenty of entertainment.
The multi-acre market area recently opened after a years-long, nearly $200 million update that converted a previously grassy field into a walkable area with parks, plazas, housing, shopping and dining destinations, sports courts, art and more.
The new beer garden will span 17,000 square feet of bar and patio space, featuring a heated tent structure to keep patrons warm, as it will be open year-round. Dogs are welcome on a leash, and there will be a flexible event space, turf for lawn games, soccer, volleyball, badminton and more.

The new spot will offer draft beer, wines, kombucha, canned cocktails and small bites to eat, as well as a rotating schedule of different food trucks.
The beer garden said it plans to also host community events and have seasonal programming utilizing the half-acre lawn space, including things like watch parties, trivia nights, happy hour, bike-in movie nights, fitness events and more.
“Hopscotch will lend itself to a community-first gathering place where nearby residents and neighbors can spend an afternoon with one another, grab a spontaneous post-run or ride beer or pop-in for a nightcap,” said Alison Nestel-Patt, director of development and user experience at Formativ. “Our hope is to become the go-to neighborhood spot, where everyone is welcome, that fosters connectivity and energy for Denargo Market and, more broadly, Denver.”
The new beer garden comes from a partnership including Golub & Company, Formativ and operator DrinkDenver. It will be open year-round from the afternoon to evening hours and is set to open in late winter 2026.
