The Great Lakes Brewing Company held their annual “First Pour” of their classic Christmas Ale on Thursday morning, October 17, 2024. Hundreds of people began lining up outside the Cleveland brewery before 7 a.m. to get a taste of the delicious ale. The first Christmas Ale pours from the tap.

Zara Larsson’s Midnight Sun Tour

The Swedish popstar returns to Cleveland after previously opening for Tate McRae on the Miss Possessive Tour in 2025. Her return comes on the heels of the release of her most successful album to date, Midnight Sun. Larsson also recently earned her first Billboard Top 10 hit with her remix of PinkPantheress’s song Stateside. Prices vary.

Absolute Intense Wrestling feat. Nic Nemeth

Nic Nemeth brings professional wrestling to the Globe Iron on Friday. Similar to WWE’s Royal Rumble, this match is done “Battle Royale” style, where two competitors start off the match, while others join in at timed intervals. The match ends with the last two competitors standing in a singles match. A fun, energetic show at a great venue. General admission starts at $29.40

Bob Marley Celebration with The Ark Band and Carlos Jones

Carlos Jones and The Ark Band return to celebrate reggae legend Bob Marley at Music Box Supper Club. Combining original compositions with covers of Marley’s iconic discography, both The Ark Band and Carlos Jones are bringing their sounds together to pay tribute to the king of reggae himself. Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 on the day of the show.

Pompei: Below the Clouds

Enjoy this highly rated documentary by Italian director Gianfranco Rosi about daily life in Naples, Italy. The film premiered at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival where it won the Special Jury Prize. This is Rosi’s first black-and-white film. The film was well received by critics with a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and two other award nominations at the Valladolid International Film Festival and Stockholm International Film Festival. Run time is 114 minutes. Cost: $12 to $15 with discounts for Cinematheque members, those with Cleveland Institute of Art or Cleveland State University IDs, and those ages 25 and under.

Spring Break Camp at Cleveland Metropark Zoo

Looking for some extra fun and learning this spring break? The Cleveland Metropark Zoo is offering half- and full-day camp for children ages 5-10. Kids can get tours of the exhibits, close encounters with small animals, arts and crafts and more! Registration is open now and the first session begins March 23 – 27, with a second session beginning on April 6 – 10. A full day for the week is $281 ($253, members). Half days start at $197 ($177, members). Before and after camps are an additional $37 ($35, members).
