Update: Highway 96 reopens after house fire

(SILVER CLIFF, Colo.) — The Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said Highway 96 has reopened. Firefighters are still on scene.

The Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said a structure fire in Silver Cliff on Highway 96 is causing road closures in the area.
According to CCSO, the intersection of Highway 96 and Butler Street is closed due to a house fire. The homeowner and his dog are safe.
Traffic on Highway 96 is being diverted down the highway shoulder to Butler Street.
