Celebs you didn't know had children together

There are some celebrity couples whose children are constantly in the spotlight. They have no problem posting pictures of them to Instagram, or even walking them down the red carpet. Then there are other celebrity couples who, by contrast, do everything they can to keep their children completely out of the spotlight. The result is that sometimes we forget (or never knew to begin with) who shares children with whom.

Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen

McDowell and Steenburgen have been divorced since 1990. Charlie McDowell is a writer and director, married to Phil Collins' daughter and 'Emily in Paris' star Lilly Collins. As for Charlie's sister Lilly McDowell, she's an actress and has appeared on 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' and 'Sons of Anarchy.'

Catherine Keener and Dermot Mulroney

Sources suggest that Keener gets on well with her son and that they have a close relationship. He is a musician.

Ellen Barkin and Gabriel Byrne

Jack is a musician, and Romy is an actress. Apparently the parents are still on good terms since their amicable split, and the family spends the kids' birthdays together.

Linda Hamilton and James Cameron

The couple married in 1997, only to separate in 1999. Hamilton once described her marriage to Cameron as, "Terrible on every level. I wasn't ready, he wasn't ready."

Billy Crudup and Mary Louise Parker

Sources suggest the pair put their differences aside in order to raise the baby, whom they named William. 

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling

There are very few photos of the couple in public, let alone their children. Mendes has previously spoken about wanting to give them as much privacy as possible.

Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale

Their sons Rocco and Rafa were born in 2016 and 2017 respectively. Byrne is also stepmother to Cannavale's son from his previous marriage to Jenny Lumet.

Michael Sheen and Kate Beckinsale

Although the couple spilt in 2003, they still appear together sometimes on social media. 

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester

In October 2020, Brody told People that pandemic babies have their benefits. "You've gotten to be in a cocoon. The world outside is scary for the moment and also thrilling and hopeful."

Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova

Their twins, Nicholas and Lucy, were born in 2017 and their daughter, Mary, was born in January 2020. In both cases the pregnancy was kept a secret.

Rashida Jones and Ezra Koenig

Their son, Isaiah, was born in 2018, and Us Weekly reported on it months after the event. Sources suggest that Koenig enjoys playing music to his son.

Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres

Fishburne and Torres announced their split in 2017, although they issued a statement describing their plan to continue raising their daughter as a team.

Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser

The fact that the couple had a son was revealed by 'Gilmore Girls' co-star Scott Paterson, who told Glamour that Bledel was "a proud new mother and married and happy."

Adam Driver and Joanne Tucker

The secret came out when Tucker's sister accidentally made her Instagram account public in 2018. According to Driver, keeping the secret was a "military operation."
