We Can’t Take Our Eyes Off The Street Style Looks At London Fashion Week Spring 2026
The street style set has descended in London, a city known for its rich history and storied fashion legacy. From Vivienne Westwood to Alexander McQueen and John Galliano, London has produced zeitgeist-defining designers and their influence trickles down to London street style, which is typically a little more rebellious than its counterparts.
This season, that rebellious energy is more apparent with up-and-coming brands like Rory William Docherty, Connor Ives and Dilara Findikoglu flooding the London Fashion Week schedule this year.
It’s the start of Autumn in the UK, so we’re seeing strategic layers perfect for the time of year we find ourselves in, spring with its sudden cool changes, wet weather and unpredictable heat waves. As on the runways in London, there’s been a ubiquity of lace from see-through lace skirts worn with loose oversized t-shirts to puffy confections with puff sleeves. It feels like there’s a return to the girlhood trend of a few years ago, but this time with a more sophisticated, than twee.
If London has leaned into a girlish mood this season, footwear has provided the counterpoint. Rugged boots and sturdy brogues have punctuated the usual ballet flats and Mary Janes, offering a masculine edge to the hyper-feminine looks we saw on the Emilia Wickstead runway — and it’s a balance we’re loving.
Overall, what one senses in the London street style this season is a tension between refinement and rawness, heritage and innovation that we’ve also seen on the runway. It’s less about strict uniformity of trend and more about personal punctuation: how you twist, pair, and adapt, whether with accessories, hair styles or simply the right attitude.
