Steph de Sousa’s favourite cast-iron French pan is coming to ALDI Special Buys

The Crofton cast-iron cookware range, which has drawn comparisons to luxury brand Le Creuset, is in store from Wednesday, 12 November, with a limited-edition festive collection. Expect the same premium feel, even heat distribution and beautiful colours but without the hefty price tag.

To put it into perspective, Le Creuset’s Flamme Dorée Shallow Casserole can set you back around $850, while Crofton’s almost identical version is just $24.99. That’s a serious saving, and as Steph might say, “girl maths” totally checks out here.

ALDI’s Crofton cookware range

From Wednesday, you can expect to find the Crofton cast-iron French pan in stores. They have a limited-edition Christmas embossed lid and come in three festive colours: red, green, or white. Plus, it’s suitable for all stovetops, including induction.

New to their collection is an acacia wooden cutting board ($19.99) with an over-the-counter edge for stability when cutting and a grooved edge to catch any drops. Choose from a range of wooden vegetable or herb tools ($9.99), such as herb rocker, mortar and pestle, grater, salt and pepper dish or vegetable shredder. There will be Christmas cooking gadget assortments ($4.99), cooking utensil assortments ($4.00), a carbon steel roaster with rack ($14.99), Peppertree novelty apron, fabric wine holders, gift bags or gift wrap mix ($7.99), and ceramic oven-to-table baking dishes with a wooden stand (19.99).

Also new is gorgeous glass assorted festive drinkware for $9.99, an assortment of festive servingware for $21.99 and a mirror tray or candle holder for $39.99.

We reached out to Steph for comment on the Crofton cookware range, but are yet to hear back.
