From Devil's Lake State Park to Door County, Wisconsin is home to countless unique experiences for locals and tourists alike.

But, with so many options, how does one narrow down the must-see attractions in the Badger State?

You're in luck. If you're planning your next trip or just want to know more about what Wisconsin has to offer, World Atlas on Sept. 30 published its "8 Best Attractions To Visit In Wisconsin" report, which says the state is an "authentic mix of history, culture, and adventure."

"The eight best attractions to visit in Wisconsin capture the essence of the state, making them must-sees whether it’s your first visit or a chance to catch what you missed the last time," the publication said.

Here are World Atlas' top picks for must-see attractions in Wisconsin:

1. Devil's Lake State Park

The 360-acre Devil's Lake is surrounded by 500-foot bluffs. Devil's Lake State Park is just south of Baraboo.

For the second straight year, the Apostle Islands ice caves were accessible due to thick ice thanks to the cold winter in 2015. Visitors were able to traverse the frozen Lake Superior shores near Bayfield, hiking more than two miles round-trip to view the natural majestic sculptures.

Wisconsin architect Frank Lloyd Wright built Taliesin just below the brow of a hill in the rolling countryside outside of Spring Green. Taliesin means "shining brow" in Welsh.
