Eats, drinks and places to visit in Iowa City for Oregon football's game at Iowa
Though it can get cold in Iowa City in early November, that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to do during gameday week in a college town that loves football.
For fans that may want to brave the cold, Think Iowa City recommends starting the weekend with a hike overlooking the Iowa River at Squire Point. For places to drink, Think Iowa City suggests Big Grove Brewery or Cedar Ridge Winery and Distillery, located north of the city.
For dinner options, Vue Rooftop offers expansive views of the city while Joseph's Steakhouse comes highly regarded. Think Iowa City says seafood lovers will rejoice at St. Burch Tavern. For a good brunch spot, Bluebird Diner and Tin Roost are a few of places locals frequent.

On the day of the game, Melrose Avenue is home to most of Iowa City's tailgating scene, featuring lawn games, great food and cold drinks aplenty.
