Travis Scott wears a $1.05 million watch to play flag football
Despite Odell Beckham Jr.’s best efforts, you can’t wear your six-figure Richard Mille watch in an NFL game (or any other kind of watch, for that matter). You can, however, wear one while playing in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, as Travis Scott recently demonstrated on a sweltering LA day. While Beckham legendarily opted for his RM 11-03 McLaren, a Formula One-themed chronograph with Cleveland Browns-esque orange accents, Scott’s choice was the equally covetable RM 27-04 Rafael Nadal Tourbillon, a limited edition of just 50 pieces dedicated to the eponymous tennis GOAT.

Scott, of course, is no stranger to the pleasures of haute horlogerie, having collabed on a “Cactus Jack” Edition Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar with Audemars Piguet a few years back. As a highly-limited edition collab from a top-tier watchmaker, RM 27-04 is very much in the same league, and an incredible creation in its own right. The RM 27-04 came out in 2020 to celebrate a decade-long partnership between the Swiss watchmaker and the Spanish tennis legend, and it was every bit worthy of the occasion. A successor to the 2010 RM 027 Rafael Nadal, a patently bonkers creation weighing in at just 20 grams, including the strap, the RM 27-04 weighs in at a comparably chonky 30 grams, but more than makes up for the weight gain with one of the most beautiful movements in the Richard Mille catalog. Inside its polyamide-strengthened carbon fiber case, the watch is powered by a manually wound tourbillon movement suspended on a piece of braided steel measuring just 0.27mm in diameter. This, in turn, is woven into a grid resembling the surface of a tennis racket—all the better to help the watch maintain superlative accuracy when worn on court by Nadal. The result is a design that allows the watch to withstand forces in excess of 12,000 Gs—in other words, more than enough to weather a friendly game of flag football.

Ryan Gosling’s TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph
Appearing at the opening of TAG Heuer’s new boutique at 99 Prince Street in SoHo, brand ambassador Ryan Gosling swapped out his trusty Seafarer for the Carrera Chronograph ref. CBS2113.BA0053, a blue-dialed version of the brand’s famed racing model in its 41mm Glassbox case. Paired to a multi-link “beads-of-rice”-style bracelet, its sporty, monochromatic blue colorway offers a look that wasn’t offered on the original Carrera of the 1960s, which was often found in black or silver versions, as well as its famed “panda” configurations. Powering it is the TAG Heuer Calibre TH20-01, an automatic movement with an impressive 80-hour power reserve, while the caseback boasts the victory wreath symbol—a new feature of 2026 Carreras.

Justin Bieber’s Rolex Cellini ref. 2435
Team USA, led by MVP quarterback Darrell “Housh” Doucette III, won the inaugural Fanatics Flag Football Classic, but it was Justin Bieber who won the watch game that day. His choice? A Rolex Cellini Reference 2435, a slim yellow gold piece with a diamond-set bezel, a matching integrated bracelet, and a cream and diamond-set dial. Powered by a hand-wound movement, it dates to the early 1990s, and is one of many Cellini models produced before the line was discontinued in favor of the new 1908 in 2023. It’s a definitive neo-vintage swerve, and one of several covetable teeny tiny pieces in Bieber’s deep watch bench.

Jung Kook’s Hublot Big Bang Unico Black Magic
If you tuned into Jimmy Fallon this week, you no doubt caught the BTS boys seated on his couch—but if you’re a watch guy, you were probably focused on Jung Kook’s wrist, where a Hublot Big Bang Unico Black Magic was securely fastened. Fashioned from micro-blasted and polished black ceramic, the Black Magic is a 44mm chronograph with flyback functionality, 100 hours of power reserve, and a transparent dial that offers a clear view of the in-house Hublot HUB1280 UNICO automatic chronograph movement ticking away inside. Large but easy-wearing due to its ceramic construction and rubber strap, it’s a sporty choice that works particularly well with an all-black ensemble.
