The whole point of a New York Knicks game is to watch the athletes on the court, but sometimes, we make a sport out of spotting celebrities in the audience.

Here at Bazaar, we’re used to scouting out stars in the front row of fashion shows, but you can’t count out the sartorial moments that take place courtside, too. Of course, there are also the diehard fans who go to as many games as possible, wearing head-to-toe blue and orange in the process, from Timothée Chalamet and Spike Lee to Ben Stiller and Julianne Moore.

Since the Knicks were first formed as a team back in 1946, stars have consistently been filling seats at their games. But it wasn’t until the Y2K era that it really became common for these famous attendees to be photographed as they watched.

Now, many celebrities use Madison Square Garden as a venue to debut new relationships, promote their latest brand partnerships, or simply hang out with their friends.
