See who made the royal guest list for Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling’s wedding
The British royal family made a proud showing on Saturday for the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling at All Saints’ Church in a small Gloucestershire village, deep in the Cotswolds.
Peter, 48, the eldest grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth and the only son of Princess Anne, married the pediatric nurse and freelance writer, 45, in a private ceremony in the English county where she grew up. The parents of the groom, Princess Anne and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips, were prominent figures of the event as were Peter’s sister, Zara, and her husband Mike Tindall. King Charles and Queen Camilla had an especially busy day as they balanced both the wedding with Derby Day at Epsom Downs, approximately two hours away by car.
The last major royal weddings for Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren were a few years ago, but were in quick succession. Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank in October 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Her sister, Princess Beatrice, followed in July 2020, though her wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi was a far quieter affair, held at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge with just close family, including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, present due to COVID-19 restrictions at the time.

King Charles waved to the crowd, who cheered when his BMW door was opened.

Queen Camilla also wore a paler shade of yellow, but no less welcome on a very dreary Saturday afternoon as the weather appeared to be wet and windy in the Cotswolds. The Queen also wore a wide-brimmed hat, as is customary at British weddings, with a pair of floral brooch clips.

The Princess of Wales looked stylish in a blush-colored Roland Mouret dress with a boater-style Jane Taylor hat.

Prince William and Kate appeared to arrive without their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Yellow appeared to be the unofficial dress code theme of the day, led by the mother of the groom herself, Princess Anne. The Princess Royal is famous for her tapping into her fashion archive, and this time she wore a hat from another special family occasion: daughter Zara’s christening in 1981.

Princess Anne’s husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, was seen arriving for the wedding of his stepson Peter.

The Duchess of Edinburgh added a touch of something blue in a midi Beulah London dress with bell sleeves and a matching hat.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie arrived with their husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank, respectively.

Lady Sarah Chatto, Princess Margaret’s only daughter, made a rare public appearance in a Dior New Look-inspired outfit with a black structured hat, a white long-sleeve button-down shirt, and a black midi skirt featuring prominent box pleats.

Princess Margaret’s son, David Armstrong-Jones, Earl of Snowdon, joined his sister Lady Sarah for the special day. He was accompanied by Isabelle de la Bruyere, an art expert who runs her own independent firm for private collectors. The couple made their public debut last year.

Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones (left), daughter of the Earl of Snowdon, stood out in a striking gold headdress, possibly her own creation as the granddaughter of Princess Margaret is also a jewelry designer.

Zara Tindall looked lovely in lavender, dressed in a Rebecca Valence midi dress with a matching headband, arriving with husband Mike, not long before the bride’s car.

Their eldest daughter, Mia Tindall, also wore a pop of yellow with her headband to go with a blue floral dress.

Like a gentleman, Mike Tindall kindly carried all of the umbrellas after the ceremony.

The bride, Harriet Spering, had three bridesmaids: her daughter, Georgina, joined by Peter’s daughters, Savannah and Isla.
