Alysa Liu’s stylist is Marty Supreme’s Oscar-nominated costume designer

If the Olympics awarded medals for feats of swag, no one would have left the 2026 Winter Games with more hardware than Team USA figure skater Alysa Liu.

While the halo-haired, smiley-piercing-sporting Oakland native did return home from Milan with two actual Olympic gold medals, she’d also won the hearts of countless fans around the globe. Just as quickly as Liu landed stateside (“Stateside”!) last week, she set back out on a post-Olympics press tour that’s already included several stops in New York City.

And when the 20-year-old skater stopped by the Today show on Monday, she looked somehow even flyer than usual. Shrugging off the frigid early March weather, she rocked knee-length cargo shorts in an iridescent blue camouflage print, fastened low on her hips with a studded leather belt featuring a wavy silver buckle. She also wore a dark tailored jacket with a slight peplum layered over a Nike Dri-Fit tee, and dark blue Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe kicks—a designer sneaker in a trendy torpedo silhouette. (She also happens to be a Nike brand ambassador.)

On the Today show, Olympian Alysa Liu wore camo shorts and Nike x Jacquemus sneakers.

Per a “What’s In My Bag?” video shared on Today’s Instagram, Liu accessorized the look with her own Von Dutch camo-print bowling bag purchased from a thrift store in Oakland.

With the possible exception of said bag, Liu’s outfit was styled by Miyako Bellizzi, the Oscar-nominated costume designer who outfitted Marty Supreme, as well as previous Safdie projects Uncut Gems and Good Time. (She was also the brains behind Oscar Isaac’s grown-and-sexy wardrobe in the 2021 HBO miniseries Scenes from a Marriage.) Known for her vintage-sourced, character-forward work—and her own eclectic, tomboyish style—Bellizzi has quickly established herself as one of Hollywood’s most innovative costumers. But that’s not to say she can’t lend her skills to a fellow Bay Area alt girl in need.

Costume designer Miyako Bellizzi, seen here at the BAFTAs in February, is nominated for an Oscar for her work on Marty Supreme.

“Lil town sis on the Today show! Fit by me,” the stylist wrote alongside Liu’s Today show clip on her Instagram story on Tuesday. Like the figure skater, Bellizzi is also from Oakland, California. She’s a big thrifter, too. “I come from a big flea market, pawn shop, thrift store family. We were always looking for gems and I think it’s where I found my eye early,” Bellizzi recently told the local Alameda Post.

For her next stops on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live and NBC’s The Tonight Show, Liu wore two more outfits bearing Bellizzi’s telltale flourishes. First up, a Nike hoodie embroidered with a cybersigilism-style logo worn over a striped button-up, baggy track pants, and Ugg slippers, followed by an oversized NYC-themed Nike tee layered on top of a black-and-purple plaid shirt, big camo pants, and burgundy Air Force 1s.

On the latter show, host Jimmy Fallon attempted to match Liu’s steez in a matching black-and-blonde-striped wig—a signature look so potent that, to paraphrase Marty Mauser himself, it’s like only a matter of time before it’s staring at us from the cover of a Wheaties box.
