Great TV to watch if you're staying in and avoiding the storm

Storm Claudia have us cancelling plans and swapping our night on the town for a night on the sofa, so: just what will we watch?

Luckily, there are plenty of great TV shows around at the moment, and our to-watch list was getting pretty long, so we're taking this rainy weekend as a good opportunity to catch up.

The Beast In Me is fronted by Claire Danes, who plays Aggie Wiggs, a grieving mother whose neighbour Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys) is a real estate mogul suspected of murdering his first wife.

There are plenty of twists in the series' eight episodes, and if the plot sounds a little similar, chances are you might be a true crime fan.

Based on Co Down author Louise Kennedy's bestselling novel of the same name, four-part drama Trespasses has been hailed as one of the best series of 2025.

Trespasses is a forbidden love story, set against the backdrop of the Troubles, with a star cast including Lola Petticrew (Say Nothing), Tom Cullen (My Son), and Lisa Dwyer Hogg (The Fall), to name a few.

All Her Fault sees Succession star Sarah Snook play a young mother called Marissa whose world falls apart when her young son Milo disappears in bizarre circumstances.

If the name seems familiar, that might be because the series is an adaptation of Irish crime writer Andrea Mara's book All Her Fault.

It won't be long now until we have the new series of Stranger Things, so why not remind yourself of everything that has happened so far and rewatch the show?
