Nationwide recall on Chips Ahoy!

(WJW) – A previously issued nationwide recall on CHIPS AHOY! Baked Bites Brookie is now being expanded to include additional pouches of the product, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The updated recall alert, issued Feb. 4, 2026, is an expansion to a recall first announced December 24, 2025. The voluntary recall by Mondelēz Global LLC is due to an incorrect mixing process that resulted in the formation of small corn starch clumps in the product, according to the FDA.

“Due to the characteristics and size of the small starch clumps, the clump could constitute a choking hazard, particularly in special risk groups, such as young children and the elderly,” states the recall alert.

The expanded recall includes one additional code date (10MAY2026) and two additional UPCs of product pouches.

Here’s what to check for:

According to the recall alert, there have been no reports of injury or illness and no other CHIPS AHOY! or Mondelēz Global LLC products are included in the recall.

Officials report the impacted products were sold at a limited number of retail stores nationwide.

Consumers are advised to not eat the product and contact the company for more information.
