Gwen Stefani shares her 'miracle' of getting pregnant at 44

Renowned singer Gwen Stefani experienced what she described as a "beautiful miracle" when she gave birth to her youngest son at the age of 44. She considered the possibility highly unlikely but there was a way she got her 'gift'.

Her son Apollo

The singer tells us the spirituality of what she claims helped her have a baby at that age. She welcomed little Apollo into the world 12 years ago.

I wanted another baby, but...

Aafter already becoming a mother to Kingston and Zuma, children she had with her now ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, the singer still wanted to have another baby, but she believed that her age would not allow it… but she was wrong.

The prayers of one of her children

Stefani indicated that this was all made possible thanks to the prayers of one of her children, as she revealed in an interview for Hallow, a meditation and Catholicism app with Jeff Cavins.

Not in ideal conditions

More than a decade ago, the now 56-year-old singer really wanted to have another baby, but the conditions at the time weren't right.

Because of her age

“I was desperate. I really wanted to have another baby. I really did. And I couldn't and I was old,” Stefani said, but then things started to fall into place.

What her eldest son told her

The singer said that her eldest son, Kingston, then 8 years old, approached her and said, "Mommy, I just I really want you to have a baby."

Apology to her son

But she thought she couldn't make her dream come true: "I said, ‘I'm sorry, your mommy's too old to have a baby now,'" Stefani recalled.

Her eldest son prayed for her every night

However, Stefani said, her son began praying every night for her to conceive another baby, so she considers Kingston a fundamental part of the “gift” she was given.

'Please, God, let my mom have a baby'

“Like, ‘Please God, let my mom have a baby.’ And I was just sitting there going, ‘Wow, look at my little boy. He’s praying for me.’" Even though the singer states she had never told him or taught him to pray for that.

The miracle happened

“I think it was like four weeks later and I was pregnant with Apollo, who I had at 44-years-old, naturally—totally a full-on gift,” Stefani said.

Her three children

Now, Stefani's children have grown up: Kingston is 19; Zuma, 17; and Apollo has just turned 12.

Married to Blake Shelton

Currently, the singer is married to country star Blake Shelton, whom she wed in 2021.

A strong family

Of course, they have all managed to become a lovely and solid family, and for Stefani, her children are her pride and joy.

Life on a farm

The family decided to leave the urban chaos and currently live on a farm in Oklahoma, because Stefani and Shelton are fascinated by rural life.

Happy in the countryside

“This year, we decided we're gonna do some actual, real professional gardening—farming-type stuff out here. Me and my wife, her name's Gwen,” the “The Voice” judge said in an Instagram video.
