SHEBOYGAN – The Sheboygan community will have to wait to share thoughts on the marina revitalization project at an upcoming public meeting.

Edgewater Resources, a firm hired to complete design, engineering and construction administration services for the first phase of the Waterfront and Marina Master Plan, was supposed to host a second vision session at the Kiwanis Park Fieldhouse, 726 Kiwanis Park Drive, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on March 18, but the city said it has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The city did not immediately share a new meeting date, as of March 11.

Edgewater sought community feedback at a meeting at the end of 2025 on features like architectural styles and pier designs. This followed conversations with stakeholders like park staff, boaters, charter fishers and surfers.

The firm also clarified its scope of work — addressing persisting ice issues and planning for new docks, an attenuator system, a marina administration building, a fuel services building and system replacement. Edgewater will also focus on promenade elements, including the parking lot, walking path along the marina, and a proposed restaurant and events building.

Edgewater told the city during a presentation it would provide a financial feasibility check after the schematic design phase, which is estimated at $200,000, to confirm which features will be included in the project.

The city entered into a contract with Edgewater in fall 2025 and could be paid up to $3.29 million, depending on work completed.
