Princess Charlene favors Ralph Lauren for Monte Carlo tennis event
Princess Charlene of Monaco suited up in Ralph Lauren Collection for the Monte Carlo Masters men's tennis tournament final between Italy's Jannik Sinner and Spain's Carlos Alcaraz in Monte Carlo, Monaco, on Sunday.
The royal wore a striped wool blazer and coordinated high-waist, wide-leg trousers for Sunday's clay court tennis final. The double-breasted blazer featured a relaxed, straight fit with traditional tailoring elements, including waist flap pockets and sharp peak lapels.
The jacket was crafted with ultra-fine wool crepe. The matching trousers for the suited look featured creases down each leg and the established pinstripe motif. To complete the ensemble, Princess Charlene added two-tone pointed toe flats courtesy of Roger Vivier.
Ralph Lauren's suited looks have been a staple of Princess Charlene's royal engagement wardrobe over the last few years. For the 2024 edition of the Monte Carlo tennis tournament, the royal wore another suited moment from the American designer, with some nautical touches thanks to shades of blue and white.
Roughly one year ago, Princess Charlene showcased Ralph Lauren suited styling as transitional wear, favoring a glen plaid wool jacket and coordinated trousers in a shade of brown - the look also complemented her daughter Princess Gabriella's attire.
Other European royals have followed suit with Princess Charlene, embracing designs by Ralph Lauren and adding the American couturier's pieces to their royal wardrobes. Kate Middleton is among Europes most prominent royals to wear pieces by Ralph Lauren, and Meghan Markle has incorporated quiet luxury styles by the designer into her closet too.
Sunday's Monte Carlo Masters men's tennis tournament saw Italy's Jannik Sinner defeat Carlos Alcaraz of Spain in a straight set match. The clay court tournament is among the first clay competitions ahead of the French Open, Roland-Garros, in May.
