PGA Tour money leaders: What the top golfers have made this year
The PGA Tour season has 15 competitions remaining. Notable trophies such as the Ryder Cup and the FedEx Cup are still to play for in the 2025 season. An abundance of money is still available and the professionals still have opportunities to get their hands on millions of dollars.

Throughout the season, the best golfers in the world have been competing and making a lot of money for themselves. After Scottie Scheffler won his first Open Championship, he earned another $3 million for himself to increase his overall winnings to $19.2 million.
Scheffler extended his lead to $3 million over Rory McIlroy and he is in great position to win even more at the FedEx Cup playoffs.
Biggest risers in the money leaders' standings
The Open Championship had a $17 million purse. Alongside Scottie, second and third place were given north of a million dollars to have which Harris English and Chris Gotterup took advantage of.
English finished four strokes behind Scheffler in the Open Championship and his play pushed him from 19 to 8 in the OWGR and 8 to 6 in the FedEx Cup standings. The University of Georgia graduate earn a $1.7 million reward for second and he jumped him from 15 to number eight in the PGA Tour money leaders. His finish in the last major of the year boosts his earners to around $7.7 million in 2025.
Gotterup hoisted his second career win a week ago in North Berwick after beating out Rory McIlroy and Marco Penge by two strokes for the 2025 Scottish Open. After one of the biggest wins of the 26-year-old's career, he followed it up with a great performance in Portrush finishing third. Gotterup jumped to 51 after earning $1.5 million at the Scottish and now jumps into the top 30 with a third-place finish at the Open Championship.
