Starbucks has 3 new drinks hitting menus now—and we tried them first

Fans are "so excited."

Lately, it seems like Starbucks has taken a page out of Taco Bell's book as we have seen new launch, after new launch from the coffee chain. Plus, Starbucks even had its own smaller-scale version of Taco Bell's Live Más Live at its 2026 Investor Day earlier this year, where it teased a few new menu items—including the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato that launched as part of the spring menu.

During Starbucks' initial spring drop on March 3—and also announced at Investor Day—the chain said that it would also debut a late spring menu, complete with a new ube drink, a mango cream cold foam, and new Energy Refreshers. While it may not be late spring on the calendar, it is for the coffee chain, as Starbucks is releasing its second round of springtime drinks this week.

Starbucks Debuts Late Spring Menu for 2026

On April 7, Starbucks is adding three new mango-flavored drinks to its menu, plus officially debuting the Iced Ube Coconut Cream Shaken Espresso.

Starbucks' new mango syrup can be ordered in multiple Refreshers, plus as a Cold Foam. The new Mango Strawberry Refreshers are available as the classic Mango Strawberry Refresher made with water, Mango Strawberry Lemonade Refresher made with lemonade, and Mango Dream drink made with coconut milk.

Additionally, all three new Mango Strawberry Refreshers can be made into one of Starbucks' new "Energy Refreshers."

Starbucks originally tried its hand at energy drinks with its Melon Burst Iced Energy and Tropical Citrus Iced Energy beverages in 2024. These drinks were tea-based and made with Starbucks' own fizzy energy drink blend.

The chain has since discontinued those drinks and is now letting customers choose their desired caffeine level in its Refreshers. Now, all Starbucks Refreshers—including the new Mango Strawberry drinks—can be ordered with no caffeine, standard caffeine, or ultra-energized as the new Energy Refresher.

In a Tall drink, the standard Refresher has 25 milligrams of caffeine and the Energy Refresher has 100 milligrams of caffeine. In a Grande drink, the standard Refresher has 50 milligrams of caffeine and the Energy Refresher has 125 milligrams of caffeine. In a Venti drink, the standard Refresher has 75 milligrams of caffeine and the Energy Refresher has 150 milligrams of caffeine. In a Trenta drink, the standard Refresher has 100 milligrams of caffeine and the Energy Refresher has 150 milligrams of caffeine.

Starbucks' mango syrup will also be available as a new Mango Cold Foam. The cold foam can be added to any iced drink, but it's officially on the menu in two capacities: the Iced Mango Cream Matcha and the Iced Mango Cream Chai.

Since these drinks were teased at Investor Day, customers and baristas alike have been "so excited" for the new fruity mango additions—and some baristas have already confirmed that the new flavor is "amazing."

Lastly, the new Iced Ube Coconut Cream Shaken Espresso takes last month's Ube Coconut Cream Cold Foam up a notch by adding it to the shaken Blonde Espresso with toasted coconut-flavored syrup.

The newly released spring drinks will be sold alongside Starbucks' previously introduced drinks, including the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato, Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew, and an Iced Lavender Cream Chai, for a limited time. I tried the new late-spring additions, and here is my honest review.

My Honest Review of Starbucks' New Mango Drinks

Mango isn't a flavor that I order often, but when I do, I usually find myself asking, "Why don't I get this more?" And that's exactly what Starbucks' new late spring menu had me questioning.

Typically, my Starbucks run consists of coffee only, but every so often, a chai or a Refresher creeps into the rotation. And the new Mango-Strawberry Refresher will certainly make a delicious pool day sipper as the weather heats up.

I tried the new Refresher made with water, and I think that's the way to go to get the full flavor. Otherwise, because the mango flavor is ever-so-soft, it would be buried under the lemonade and coconut milk. Strawberry is still the dominant flavor in this Refresher, with a hint of tropical mango right at the end.

I'm a huge fan of Starbucks' new reformulated chai. It's more flavorful and spicy than before, but I do think it overpowers the Mango Cold Foam. The cold foam on its own has a tasty, fruity flavor, with a creamy mouthfeel. However, when mixed with the chai, you could tell me it was just regular Sweet Cream Cold Foam on top and I'd believe you.

The Mango Cold Foam does shine nicely in the Iced Mango Cream Matcha, however. I'm not a matcha lover, but if you want to enjoy the mango's sweet, juicy, tropical flavors, this drink is the way to go.
