Lexington ranks No. 8 as best small city
Condé Nast Traveler ranked Lexington, which deems itself the horse capital and is located along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, No. 8 for best small city. The publication said Lexington is a "true trove of distilleries," with options like Fresh Bourbon Distillery and Bluegrass Distillers.
It also has a unique culinary scene ranging from Doodles to Bourbon on Rye to Crank & Boom and is home to both the Kentucky Horse Park and Keeneland Race Course.
