Bunny Cafe opening first location in San Francisco
(KRON) — An adoption pet space focused on rabbits will become more than that later this month. Bunny Cafe announced on social media that it will open its cafe area on Sunday, Dec. 21.
The cafe is opening in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood at 1327 Columbus Ave.
Bunny Cafe’s opening day hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cafe’s hours are then from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The Bunny Lounge is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. then 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. They are open on holidays with limited hours.
“Bunny outfits encouraged,” Bunny Cafe wrote in an Instagram post Wednesday. “We will have tastings, Graffeo espresso with have a Ferrari serving espresso drink and a vintage gas tank that pours cold brew, music, jump house, photo ops, lots of vendors that will be held in the park across the street of the cafe.”
Bunny Cafe is open to the public, and no reservations are required. Visitors can also tour the cafe and meet furry friends.
The cafe is a vegetarian/vegan establishment that offers instant ramen, “see-food,” sweets and drinks. The menu can be viewed on Bunny Cafe’s website.
Bunny Cafe is highlighted by its “BEO” (Bunny Chief Executive Officer) Alex the Great who is “known worldwide as a therapy bunny.”
Bunnies are kept on-site for a maximum of 30 days, according to Bunny Cafe’s website. There is a 24-48 hour “holding period” when bunnies are in a separated area and not available for interaction with the public.
Reservations can be placed as early as for Jan. 11.
