What restaurants are open on Christmas Day in Memphis? See the list

Everyone who has seen the movie "A Christmas Story" knows that a cozy Christmas dinner at home doesn't always work out.

Whether there's been a catastrophe in the kitchen, preparing for the in-laws' visit just got too busy, or anything in between, we get it — everyone deserves a quality holiday meal at home or out and about.

Luckily, these Memphis restaurants will be open on Christmas in 2025. Some do require reservations, so if it looks like Christmas dinner is not going to work out, plan ahead.

Bardog Tavern

Bardog Tavern will open at 5 p.m. on Christmas Day. No reservations are required.

Brookhaven Pub & Grill

Capriccio Grill

The Peabody hotel's steakhouse will be open for both lunch and dinner on Christmas Day from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. The Christmas prix fixe four-course menu includes Asparagus Truffle Tortellini Soup, Assorted Field Green Salad, a choice of sea bass or lamb chop and two desserts. The cost is $95 per person, and reservations can be made online. Special Christmas Day and children's menus are also available.

Chez Philippe

Chez Philippe at The Peabody is offering a four-course Christmas Day dinner.

The Peabody's Chez Philippe is also offering a four-course Christmas Day dinner. The meal starts with Celeriac and White Truffle Caramelle, followed by Lobster Tail, Kaluga Caviar and Velouté, and then a Filet, Potato and Gruyere Dauphinois and Bearnaise. A dessert trio is served at the end. Dinner runs from 5:30-10 p.m. The cost is $150 per person, and reservations can be made online. A wine pairing option can be added for $55.

Christmas Brunch at The Peabody

This buffet served on the mezzanine overlooking the hotel's Grand Lobby features hundreds of hot and cold items, including breakfast dishes, seasonal entrees, salads, seafood, side dishes, a carving station, plus a 32-foot-long dessert table. The cost is $144 for adults or $51 for children ages 5-12, and reservations can be made online. Brunch will be offered from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Christmas Day.

Delta's Kitchen at The Guest House at Graceland

Delta’s Kitchen at The Guest House at Graceland is serving up a Christmas feast at Elvis' place. Prices start at $55 per person for the meal, which includes classics like Deep Fried Turkey with Cranberry Sauce and Pan Gravy, Garlic Infused Prime Rib and Agave Grazed Carrots, as well as an Omelet Station, Graceland Shrimp & Grits and a wide array of desserts.

Lafayette's Music Room

Lafayette's will be open its normal hours (5-10 p.m.) with its normal menu. Local band The Breakfast Club is set to perform.

Neil's Grille & Bar

Neil's annual Christmas buffet starts at 11 a.m. and includes all the classics: smoked ham and cornbread dressing, yams, cranberry sauce, English peas, corn, green beans and rolls. Neil's will close at 1 a.m. Dec. 26.

Paulette’s

Paulette's will serve a Christmas Day brunch from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Paulette's will serve a three-course Christmas Day brunch from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with entrees that include Shrimp and Corn Chowder, Crème Brûlée French Toast, Gulf Speckled Trout and more. The cost is $59 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 901-260-3300.

Westy's

Westy's is once again serving free meals to Memphians experiencing homelessness from 9 a.m.-noon Christmas Day on the patio.

The restaurant opens to the general public at 4 p.m. Christmas Day and will close at 2 a.m. Dec. 26.
