I finally found a dish rack that's not an eyesore - this space-saving $19 find is perfect for tiny kitchens
When I was younger, I never really thought too deeply about the items in my kitchen. I wanted them to get the job done, sure, but I didn't really expect them to spark joy. That's changed as I've gotten older. Now, I want every item in my kitchen to be equal parts cute, functional, and happiness-inducing.
So when it came time for me to choose a dish rack, I knew I had a grand task ahead of me. How would I find one that would hold all my dishes but also make me smile when I looked at it? I didn't think it would matter all that much. And then I found the Kitsure dish drying rack.
What Is the Kitsure Dish Drying Rack?
The name is pretty self-explanatory, right? It's a dish rack to put the dishes in after you wash them. I don't have a dishwasher, so I needed a dish rack to hold my plates, bowls, cups, pots, and pans.
The Kitsure dish drying rack has a plastic drainboard, metal dish rack, and plastic cutlery holder, which all nest into place easily - the cutlery holder just hooks onto one side, and it's modular, too. My favorite feature, though, is the drainage spout, which snaps onto the bottom of the drainboard and can be turned to three different locations to drain into your sink depending on your kitchen's layout.

Buy NowThe dish rack has multiple slots for dishes and pan lids, and the space at the side holds a ton of cups and bowls. It's also easy to clean with a sponge and some soapy water, so when it starts looking a little dingy, I just use a little elbow grease to spruce it right up.
Why I Love the Kitsure Dish Drying Rack
My spacious kitchen was one of the biggest selling points of my apartment when I moved in six years ago. It has plenty of counter space, tons of cabinets, and even a separate breakfast nook. But the one thing I didn't realize would become an issue over the years? The lack of vertical space between the countertops and cabinets.
This dish rack immediately solved the problem. It fits perfectly underneath my cabinets and still leaves space on the countertop for storage of other items, food prep, and even a small coffee maker.
I also love how much this dish rack holds. I'm fairly good at dish-stacking Tetris, and I've been able to load as many as eight plates, four bowls, a few mugs and glasses, and even a pot or two at once. I have to admit it's also pretty fun to watch the water pour out of the spout into my sink while I'm washing the dishes. Sometimes, it's the little things!
The Kitsure dish drying rack comes in several colors, including gray, red, pink, gold, white, green, and black. I chose black, and I really love the starkness of the black metal and plastic against my white countertops and cabinets. It also comes in multiple sizes - including a larger double-tiered option - but I've found that the smallest one (12x 15.5 inches) is the perfect size for my counter so the drainage spout reaches the sink.
I honestly never realized how much I would grow to love a functional kitchen item. This dish rack has become a beloved item in my home - I use it daily, and it still brings a smile to my face after all these years.
