Did Taylor Swift just announce she’s performing next week?
It’s been a long time between official, public Taylor Swift appearances. Since releasing her long-awaited 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, in October 2025, we’ve mainly been limited to glimpses of the star walking in and out of New York City restaurants with her fiancé Travis Kelce. But for the most part, she’s been pretty lowkey, with rumours even circulating this week that she snuck through a back door at an Oscars after party without being spotted.
One thing’s for sure. If Taylor Swift doesn’t want to be seen, you will not see her. But it seems she’s getting back on the circuit. It was confirmed on Friday that Swift will make an appearance at the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 26 (or March 27 AEDT), per Rolling Stone.
The Life of a Showgirl has been a record breaking album since about the moment it was released in October, with the lead single, ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ officially becoming her longest-running number one hit ever. It comes as no surprise then that she is nominated for nine awards at the Music Awards, including Artist of the Year and Pop Artist of the Year, among others. Additionally, the album is nominated for Song of the Year, Pop Song of the Year, Favourite TikTok Dance, Best Lyrics, and Best Music Video.
It’s not clear yet how extensive Swift’s appearance at the awards will be. Whether she will be walking the red carpet, performing, or simple enjoying the show while she (hopefully) picks up a few awards hasn’t been announced. We do know that Kehlani, Alex Warren, Raye, Lainey Wilson, En Vogue, Salt-N-Pepa, and TLC are all performing and Ludacris is hosting.
The 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards will air on FOX in the US, on Thursday March 26 at 8pm ET. Given the time difference, that means Australians will be able to watch the awards on Friday, March 27 at 11:00am AEDT.
The ceremony will also air on the iHeartRadio app in the US, so we hope it will be available to stream in Australia, otherwise you may need a VPN to watch the live FOX broadcast or in Hulu. We will update this article as firmer streaming options become available.
