WARREN, Ohio (WOIO) - Choco has spent most of his life hoping to find his “furever” home, and he’s waiting for you to adopt him from The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project shelter.
To no fault of his own, Choco came into the care of HHPP as an owner surrender in April 2023.

This Labrador Retriever is only about five years old, but he’s now waited patiently for three of them...
If you are selective about who you choose to be in your inner circle, you two will be the perfect picky pair as long as your patient.
“He is a bit fearful at first, so it may take a few meets for him to warm up,” HHPP stated. “He could really use a hero.”

While he is friendly to other dogs, HHPP says he likes to be a loner who doesn’t really like sharing his space or toys, so he needs to be in a home with no kids or or other pets.
The shelter says he’s a strong athletic boy, but walks very well on a long lead.
So if you want to be loners together on long walks, Choco is as sweet as his name suggests!
