Since April began, eight new restaurants have announced they are opening doors across Oklahoma City and the surrounding communities. Progress varies as some locations are building new sites, while others have already opened for business.

This also comes in the wake of several restaurants announcing they will be closing their doors in Oklahoma City, including beloved vegan restaurant The Loaded Bowl and farm-to-table, Texas-based Whiskey Cake.

Here's a list of restaurants to look forward to in the near future that are officially opening their doors.

Bojangles

Bojangles is set to open its first location in Oklahoma on April 28.

An Oklahoma location has been in discussion since 2020, however, it was derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. It wasn't until last summer that the brand stated they intended to open a location in Oklahoma City.

The announcement of the 13135 N. Pennsylvania Ave. location came with the declaration that they would also open a second location. The first OKC location is in front of Dick's House of Sports and the second anticipated location is planned for Walnut Square at 2203 W. I-240 Service Road.

P.F. Chang's

P.F. Chang's, the Scottsdale, Arizona-based Pan-Asian-inspired restaurant, is set to open its second metro location at 1825 24th Ave NW.

An official grand opening ceremony is planned for April 27 from 10 to 11 a.m. featuring a ribbon cutting with city chamber and elected officials, alongside University of Oklahoma mascot, Boomer.

The new location will feature classic P.F. Chang’s favorites like Chang’s Spicy Chicken, Mongolian Beef and the iconic Chang’s Lettuce Wraps, along with seasonal menu items and handcrafted cocktails.

“We’ve always believed great food brings people together, and there’s no better place to celebrate community than in a town as spirited as Norman,” added Corey Robertson, Chief Operating Officer of P.F. Chang’s. “We can’t wait to join the Sooner family, support local events, and become a favorite destination for students and the broader OU community.”

Duckie's Woodfire

Duckie's Woodfire serves up fresh made bagels daily.

Duckie's combines the joy of a taproom (because they're also the folks behind Wells Beer, which is being brewed right next door) with bagels and more.

Featuring a menu boasting bagel sandwiches with breakfast options available until 11 a.m. and lunch and dinner options available beginning at 11 a.m., complete with vegetarian-friendly choices.

There are also smoked fish options - nova lox, pastrami lox and smoked whitefish salad - served all day until sold out.

For those not in the mood for bagels, the menu offers fried jalapeno popper smear nuggets, smoked and fried chicken wings and pizza bagel bites, plus German potato, deviled egg and curry chicken salads.

Duckie's opens at 7:30 a.m. daily and remains open until 9 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Pit Stop Cafe

The Pit Stop Cafe, located in Classen Tower, offers grab-and-go and made-to-order options for breakfast and lunch all day on Mondays through Fridays. Feb. 23, 2026

Tim Heitzman and his business partner Erica Becker have been teaming up to help out dogs for years through flavors made for humans and canines.

The Pit Stop Cafe, 2000 N Classen Ave., Suite A160, inside Classen Tower, brings options for breakfast and lunch to diners Monday through Friday.

The menu is simple, but flavorful — breakfast and lunch served all day — including burritos, English muffin and biscuit sandwiches, parfaits, overnight oats, salads, lunch sandwiches and more.

To make their menu more appealing, the cafe is partnered with numerous local businesses to bring customers even more high-quality options.

The Pit Stop Cafe is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Hideaway Pizza

Construction on Hideaway Pizza's west Edmond location is underway at NW 178th Street and north Western Avenue.

One of Oklahoma's most famous pizza companies filed plans last fall on their 18th location in far west Edmond and northwest Oklahoma City.

A building permit filed with the city last fall shows Hideaway Pizza is building an eatery at 17820 North Western Ave. This would be the 18th Oklahoma location.

“We chose this location as our other Edmond location has done well, and we hope to continue to grow our Oklahoma footprint,” said Director of Marketing Balay Hartman in a statement.

Hartman said the plan is to open the restaurant in fall 2026.

The Wildcat

The renovation of a 1919 building at 434 W Main into an all-day restaurant, Wildcat, is shown in this conceptual rendering.

The new restaurant, Wildcat, is designed to be an all-day dining and hospitality destination. Bogert said the concept is rooted in reviving the communal spirit of downtown's Main Street.

Sitting at 434 W Main St., the vision is for the space to function as a European cafe by day and an intimate supper club or neighborhood saloon by night.

Although the project is moving forward, there is currently no announced opening date for Wildcat. The transformation of the building marks a significant step in revitalizing the area and bringing new energy to downtown Oklahoma City.

The restaurant will be operated by The Social Order. The company has several restaurants in Oklahoma City's core, including The Jones Assembly, Spark, local franchises of Fuzzy’s Taco Shop and Dave’s Hot Chicken.

Hawaiian Bros Island Grill, Texas Roadhouse

The Edmond Planning Commission approved proposals for the newcomer — fast-casual Hawaiian Bros Island Grill and one for Texas Roadhouse, a familiar casual dining steakhouse, both unanimously, on Tuesday, April 21.

Because they were approved without dissent, they won't have to go before the City Council. It could still be months before either opens.

The commission approved the plans for the Hawaiian Bros. location at 1701 E Second St. The Texas Roadhouse location will sit on the north side of Covell Road on the west side of Interstate 35.

This makes the third Hawaiian Bros Island Grill location in the OKC metro, with one in Norman and Yukon. The restaurant also has locations in Broken Arrow and Owasso.
