Danielle Radcliffe, Tracy Morgan, Ice-T spotted at Westchester, Rockland restaurants
Daniel Radcliffe, Tracy Morgan and Ice-T are among the celebrities recently spotted dining in the Lower Hudson Valley, though for Morgan, his Westchester deli experience was more for a scene (though he ended up loving the lasagna).
Read details below.
Daniel Radcliffe in Yonkers
On Nov. 12, the sister and cousin-owned Italian Oven in Yonkers hosted Radcliffe along with other members of the cast of "The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins," a new NBC series set to release in February. According to NBC, the comedy focuses on a disgraced former football player, portrayed by Tracy Morgan, who's on a mission to rehabilitate his image with the help of filmmaker Arthur Tobin (Radcliffe).
Tina Fey is an executive producer along with creators Robert Carlock and Sam Means.
At the wrap party, the actors and crew enjoyed multiple pizzas, pasta, meatball parm sliders, bruschetta and rice balls along with assorted cookies and homemade zeppoli with Nutella.
Tracy Morgan in Elmsford
Elmsford's Carmine's Deli, which I wrote about in 2023 (check out its music program), was the scene for what manager Jennifer Connolly believes to be the final episode of "The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins" pilot. The show filmed at the Italian deli Nov. 13 after a location scout came to the deli a year ago.
Renamed Salami Joe's for the comedy — which signage proclaiming "the best sandwiches in Monmouth County," — the scene also featured Bobby Moynihan. Connolly said the experience — from seeing how they transformed the space to watching the actors in action — was super cool. "It was really fascinating to see how they do everything," she said.
Naturally, they made all the food for props, though Connolly said later, everyone ate and enjoyed the sandwiches. Owner Rob Venuti said Morgan especially enjoyed their lasagna.
Ice-T and Coco Austin in Piermont
Meanwhile, across the river in Rockland on Nov. 19, Ice-T and Coco Austin enjoyed the Wednesday burlesque show at Trata on the River. According to manager Donato Kastrati, they enjoyed the show, which is held weekly, with Austin saying she can't wait to come back on a Saturday night to dance.
This isn't the first time the riverfront restaurant has hosted celebrities. In March, Grant Ellis, from Season 29 of "The Bachelor," came for dinner. The former professional basketball player (he played for a team in the Dominican Republic), was also on Season 21 of "The Bachelorette," which airs on ABC.

Ice-T, his wife Coco Austin and their daughter in Piermont at Trata on the River with manager Donato Kastrati.
Just five days earlier, rapper, producer, and TV personality Joseph "Rev Run" Simmons, a founding member of the hip-hop group Run DMC, was also a diner as was former professional football player Devin McCourty, a safety for 13 seasons with the New England Patriots.
Other celebs include local Rocklanders Aidan Quinn and Mikhail Baryshnikov, who dined at the restaurant last November.
