Video: Plane loses tire after takeoff from Las Vegas airport

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A plane lost a tire after takeoff from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Monday night, an airport spokesperson confirmed.

The British Airways aircraft departed from Las Vegas and continued on to London, where it landed safely without further incident, according to Harry Reid Airport.

Video shared with Nexstar’s KLAS shows the British Airways flight taking off just after 9 p.m. During takeoff, as the landing gear was retracting, a tire can be seen falling from the rear of the aircraft.

The tire was retrieved from the LAS airfield, and there were no reported injuries or property damage.

The National Transportation Safety Board was notified and told KLAS that it had no further details to share on the incident at this time.
