The Highlights From The 2025 ARIA Awards Red Carpet

The 2025 ARIAs have arrived, and we’re starting where all good awards nights begin: the red carpet. Given the event celebrates the brightest stars in Australian music, the carpet is typically awash with local celebrities flexing their sartorial muscles long before the first trophy is handed out.

Recognised as the country’s biggest celebration of musical talent, the ARIAs features 29 award categories and a vast cross-section of genres. Typically, the event attracts global stars, local trailblazers, writers, producers, and famous plus ones.

The ARIA Awards red carpet has delivered some legendary fashion moments over the decades. Millennials will never forget Delta Goodrem arriving at the 2003 ceremony with her choppy pixie cut and lilac Lisa Ho dress, or Kylie Minogue somehow perfectly synchronising with The Veronicas in 2015.

So, who will be on the red carpet today? Expect big names including Olivia Dean (in town for her Australian tour), Kacey Musgraves, Vera Blue, Thelma Plum, Touch Sensitive, Young Franco and Kita Alexander. Electronic artists such as self-taught producer Ninajirachi — nominated for eight awards — and Dom Dolla, up for seven, will also be bringing their own flavour.

As always, the ARIAs red carpet promises a mix of glamour, risk-taking, and looks infused with the homegrown individuality that makes Australian fashion and music so compelling. Whether you’re here for the power suits, the sequins or the surprises, this year’s arrivals are already setting the tone for a memorable night.

So far, Olivia Dean has been the first of the big names to arrive on the red carpet wearing a voluminous drop-waisted black gown with her hair in soft 1950s waves. The Grammy Award-nominated English singer-songwriter’s headline Australian tour dates sold out in under an hour across Sydney and Melbourne. She also performed alongside Charli XCX at Laneway Festival. While she’s in Sydney as the International Guest for the ARIA Awards, she’s treating locals to a one-off show on Thursday night.

Below, our favourite looks from the night.
