Emily Blunt reunites with Stanley Tucci on the Met Gala red carpet

THE RUNDOWN

  • Emily Blunt stepped out at the 2026 Met Gala.
  • This year’s theme, “Fashion Is Art,” encourages expressive, sculptural dressing.
  • She reunited with her Devil Wears Prada 2 co-star Stanley Tucci on the red carpet.

Emily Blunt attended the Met Gala this evening, the perfect final stop of her Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour. Fittingly, she reunited with her co-star Stanley Tucci and her sister Felicity Blunt on the red carpet. (Tucci is married to the actress’s sister.)

For fashion’s biggest night, Blunt wore a dress by Ashi Studios and accessorized with Mikimoto jewelry, Jimmy Choo heels, and a Kurt Geiger bag.

Blunt husband’s, John Krasinski, appeared to sit the night out, though the two have become regulars on the awards season circuit. Earlier this year, the pair attended the Golden Globes together, where Blunt wore a white asymmetrical gown with a cape-style overlay, while Krasinski opted for a black Dolce & Gabbana suit.

Blunt’s recent red carpet appearances have leaned further into couture, particularly during The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour. For the film’s New York premiere, she wore a sculptural Schiaparelli couture gown, paired with a slicked-back bun and a classic red lip. Speaking about the look, makeup artist Jenn Streicher told ELLE, “The inspiration for this look was a modern evolution of Emily’s original aesthetic—polished, ambitious, and unmistakably fashion-forward, but with a contemporary softness.”

“She [Emily] was such a ludicrous character,” Blunt told ELLE in her 2025 Women in Hollywood profile. “It did leave the door open for people to see me as more than a British period drama girl. It paved the way for character roles, which is all I wanted. I didn’t want to be an ingenue.”

Her approach to fashion often contrasts with her off-duty style. In an interview with Net-a-Porter, Blunt said, “I drown myself in clothes. I quite like oversized; I like to hide, I like to shroud. I don’t love wearing heels, so getting back to The Devil Wears Prada has been a rude awakening for all of us.”
