Doja Cat's 2026 Met Gala look is giving futuristic warrior princess. On May 4, the singer and rapper, who serves on this year's host committee, walked the red carpet in New York City in a draped nude Saint Laurent gown that appeared as if it were made of plastic.

The long-sleeved, toga-inspired design included a gold accent at the shoulders and a sultry thigh-high slit. Doja accessorized with towering peep-toe platforms—also in a shade of beige—while her hair was styled in blonde waves that reached down to her waist. The "Say So" artist's glam consisted of dramatic winged eyeliner, taupe eyeshadow, and a glossy nude lip.

Doja's dress was designed by Saint Laurent's longtime Creative Director, Anthony Vaccarello, who has helmed the French label since 2016. Speaking to Vogue, the hitmaker revealed that the dress was made of silicone and was inspired by ancient Greek sculptures on display in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where the gala is held.

“I think that the reference we were most connected with: the way fabric draped over the body of a Grecian statue in a way that’s timeless,” she said, adding, “I really loved the way that this dress draped over my body.”

“I think that one of my strong suits is world-building, and I do that really, really fast. Some days I look very formal and less manic, and it’s beautiful jewels, and suiting, and structure, and things like that. Or it’s bras, and sex, and mania, and psychopathy.”

This year marks Doja's fourth time attending the Met Gala. At the 2025 ball, she leaned into the "Tailored for You" theme in a pinstriped Marc Jacobs bodysuit with dramatic proportions, including bold shoulders and padded hips. She made her debut at the star-studded soirée back in 2023, when she channeled Karl Lagerfeld's beloved cat, Choupette, with a face full of prosthetics.

The 2026 Met Gala is co-chaired by Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, Beyoncé, and Vogue's global editorial director, Anna Wintour. The host committee is also stacked with stars, with Zoë Kravitz, Sabrina Carpenter, and Lena Dunham in supporting roles.

Staged by the Met's Costume Institute, the "Costume Art" exhibit juxtaposes pieces from the museum's extensive fashion archives with various artworks in its collection. Nearly 400 pieces will be displayed in a new gallery spanning 12,000 square feet, according to the Met's press release.
