Princess Kate showed some rare PDA with Prince William at the Commonwealth Day Service
Today, Prince William and Princess Kate joined the rest of their royal family at the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. With King Charles III and Queen Camilla by their side, the Waleses were the picture of elegance and formality. But when the attention wasn’t solely on them, the couple snuck in some intimate, romantic moments.
One particularly lovely photo from the event shows Kate wrapping her arm around her husband’s waist, a gesture that while common for many of us commoners, is a rather rare display of affection for working British royals.

Kate and William coordinated in royal blue at the family gathering. The princess was lovely in a structured Catherine Walker coatdress and matching accessories, including a wide-brim hat. Strings of white pearls—Queen Elizabeth II’s Bahrain pearl drop earrings and a five-strand necklace from vintage jeweler Susan Caplan—completed her look. William matched in a navy suit, white shirt, blue tie, and black dress shoes, which he wore with his signature scruff.

The prince and princess’ matching moment at Westminster Abbey today is especially romantic as the pair married at the same venue (nearly) 15 years ago, in April 29, 2011. The two started dating in 2003, and since their royal wedding have welcomed three children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.
