- Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet has married his longtime love Lindsay Schweitzer.
- The two tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at their Kansas City home.
- The two have been together since 2017.
Eric Stonestreet and his longtime partner Lindsay Schweitzer have finally made their modern love story official by getting married. The Modern Family star announced the exciting news on September 9, by sharing adorable photos from his wedding to Schweitzer.
In the first snap of the Instagram carousel, a dapper-looking Stonestreet poses in a navy suit and light blue silk tie outside of the venue, which was their Kansas City home, according to People. Other images capture the happy couple walking hand-in-hand, sharing a kiss, and dancing together during their intimate ceremony. Stonestreet wrote "I got married!" over one of the images in a large purple font, which matched the inscription on the last photo that read, "The Stonestreets."

"It’s my birthday and guess what I got," he captioned the post, which accompanied the photos lensed by photographer Heather Smith. He also gave the couple's stylist, Tiana Aiello, a shoutout. Schweitzer, for her part, wore a simple but striking silk wedding gown with a cowl neckline and a beaded belt. She accessorized her dress with diamond pendant necklace, silver drop earrings, and a stack of bangles. Her caramel colored hair was styled in loose middle parted waves that complemented her dewy skin and neutral-tone glam.

Stonestreet's Modern Family co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who played his on-screen husband Mitch, was quick to congratulate the star with a cheeky comment. "Of all second marriages, this one is my favorite!," he wrote. "I love you both! I'm so happy for you!!!!😍😍"
The couple first confirmed their relationship to People back in 2017 and later got engaged in 2021. Stonestreet told the outlet earlier this year that they were "building a house to host a wedding." "We're almost done with the house, and that's been our plan all along," he explained. "We got engaged and then all of a sudden got an opportunity to build a house, and I thought, no better way to start a relationship than literally building a foundation. So that's our plan and we're still on track for that."
