'Ted Lasso' Star Brendan Hunt Gets Married in Ireland — with Jason Sudeikis in Attendance

Coach Beard is off the market.

Brendan Hunt, who plays the offbeat coach on “Ted Lasso,” announced he and his partner, Shannon Nelson, have gotten married in an amusing Instagram post on Oct. 8.

“Oh wait! I totally forgot to mention- me and @snoopshann got married in Ireland a couple weeks ago. NBD,” he captioned a series of photos from the big day, including one of Hunt’s “Ted Lasso” co-star Jason Sudeikis appearing to officiate the ceremony.

“It was done with way less lead time than you’re supposed to give, and way fewer guests than we would have liked to have under normal circumstances. And we’re pretty sure the dude who married us was only pretending to be a priest. But we just about pulled it off.

“The bride was stunning, while the groom cleaned up reasonably well. It was all quite lovely, and best of all our little boys got to see it. Shout out to all the young-at-heart lovers out there. In the words of my aunt Ellen, ‘It’s so much better to have a teammate.'”

Hunt and Nelson are parents to Sean, 4, and Archibald, 1, whose names appeared on the wedding invitation — which said the ceremony was Sept. 20 — that Hunt included among the photos.

Co-stars and other celebrities were over the moon with the wedding news.

“❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” wrote Brett Goldstein.

Angela Kinsey also leaned into the heart emoji, posting, "❤️❤️❤️.”

“WOOWWWW,!!! Congratulationz and may God bless y’all both 🙏🏾👏🏾,” Flavor Flav wrote.

Nelson, who has starred in the movie “Drop Dead Gorgeous” and appeared on an episode of “Ted Lasso,” also shared photos on her Instagram page.

“A wedding. A perfectly Irish day set the stage for what was the best day of my life,” she wrote.

“Look at my husband! Look at him 😍Our children walked me down the aisle and watched as their Dad and I said our vows and tied our family together in the most quiet, musical, silly and lovely way and then we danced until my shoe leather wore off.”

These are busy days for Hunt. In addition to being a newlywed, the fourth season of “Ted Lasso” is underway after Sudeikis confirmed earlier this year that another season will happen.
