I selalu place a budget for travelling based on Malaysian Ringgit first, doesn't matter travel local or overseas. I akan list out the maximum amount I'm willing to spend. Spending less is okay but overspending is a big no.
It is easier to plan out a budget based on someone else's expenses tau sebenarnya. So sometimes I akan tanya my friends or strangers online for their expenses breakdown. Senang nak 'agak2' how much I should be saving up.

70 : 20 : 10 OR 50 : 30 : 20
Keperluan : Kemahuan : Simpanan
For example gaji RM2K,
70% – RM1,400 50% – RM1,000
20% – RM400 30% – RM600
10% – RM200 20% – RM400
Duit untuk 'Kemahuan' tu boleh masuk dalam 'tabung travel'.
💰Tabung: Sebulan simpan berapa x brape bulan = budget travel
💰Contoh: RM400 x 12 bulan = RM4.8K
Duit ni dah boleh pegi Jepun dah (bajet rendah) ataupun boleh pegi lokal dan banyak negara dekat South East Asia. Nak quantity, aim negeri/negara yang dekat2 je.

💠Flight Ticket: RM2000 / Roadtrip: RM100
💠Food: RM40 per day max
💠Accommodation (local): RM70 per night
💠Accommodation (overseas): RM350 per night
💠Shopping: RM500 (clothes, souvenirs, etc.)
💠Activities & Admission Tickets: RM1K-RM2K
Ada orang suka duit tu boleh pegi banyak tempat, ada org tak kisah spend banyak untuk satu tempat je. My advice, kalau dah pegi satu tempat tu, pegi la tempat lain pulak ☺️.
